We had fun at the sand dunes the other day
We went for a walk the other day and ended up at some sand dunes. It’s was really kinda crazy because, it’s mostly rocky ground around here. Mom had to wonder how sand dunes can just show up in the landscape. Why is it really sandy in one spot, and not another? Anyway, we really didn’t care, the sand dunes were fun.
The sand was soft and cool on our feet, it felt really good.
Torrey did lots of zoomies in the sand, around the tree, beside the bush, round in a big circle.
It’s kinda surprising just how many bushes and trees there are around here. And lizards, Torrey loves to chase the lizards. Thankfully, it’s not warm enough for the snakes to be out and about. She also found a rabbit to chase, the rabbit was wayyyyy faster than her though. So it wasn’t even close. We saw gray desert fox too. Well, mom and dad saw the fox. It was probably a really good thing Torrey and I didn’t see that critter. That wouldn’t have been good.
It was a fun and unexpected place to play and run. I’m sure we’ll go visit again.
Today is the Monday Mischief blog hop. It’s all about the fun!!
I’ve never seen a Lizzard, BOL what fun you guys had. I’m off to the beach today, the tide is out so I can play on the sand

Oh lucky, the beach! Lizards are super fast, and hard to see.
That sand looks sooooooooo soft and cool! Like a giant sandbox!! thank goodness there were no snakes, that would have made my Mom run to the hills! Barks and licks and love, Dakota

The sand was awesome, and dad would have run from the snakes too.
That looks like such a great place to to play and do zoomies:-)

It was a great zoomie place.
I’m gonna need a lot of hugs when you come back!!!!!!!!! I love seeing you in the pics Mom takes. That way I don’t miss you so much. She captures your spirit in ways that I can feel the photo come to life. That takes talent and she certainly has that. Dad to the way his sculptures move your feelings around like days gone by. Your truly blessed to have them in your life. I have always wanted to ride my horse along the beach in the sand. I rode horses all my life on trails in California along the river beds and in Utah in the mountains. In fact I would love to live on the beach part time and right now that is a great thought.
We will give you lots of hugs and licks and love when we get to that area again.
That looks like a lot of fun! I wish we had a sand dune nearby to play in. It’s really cool that mom and dad saw a desert fox!

The fox was awesome, or so we heard.
Glad you had so much fun. Walking in the sand is a great massage for the paws. Happy Monday.

Beautiful pictures. Sand dunes can be so much fun. We have sand soil up by our cabin, but no dunes to play in.

The dunes are way fun!
Beautiful photos as always Roxy…around here we have lines of high sand dunes 50 miles or so inland, running north and south …they’re called ridges and they’re what was once islands when the rest of the land was covered by the sea…maybe that’s where your dunes came from?

Now wouldn’t that be crazy?
My boys saw a little critter (i.e., a cat) in the parking lot the other night. They took off after it like a bolt! Good thing the kitty was faster, just like that bunny. I don’t even want to know what might have happened had they caught the cat!

The kitty might not have been very nice about it.
Not only is it fun but it tires pups out which the humans enjoy

I am not a fan of sand dunes because walking and biking in them is hard. Sounds like Roxy and Torrey really like them though.

I love running around sand too! The only time I didn’t like it was when I got my paws burnt because it was a very hot day and my humans were too slack to notice.
