The show is held at the same time of year as the CM Russell museum art auction, and other shows throughout the town. This brings art buyers and enthusiasts from around the US and, we met several people from Canada.
Friday afternoon was the first quick finish. Artists had 90 mins to finish a piece that they had already started.
They were then auctioned off as part of the Off the Wall auction that afternoon.
On Saturday, there was a quick finish and auction that benefited the Michael J. Fox foundation for Parkinson’s research. 100% of all the proceeds went to the foundation, and they raised a nice sum of money that afternoon.
The art show came under new management last year and they are doing a wonderful job. The Cawdrey family has been participating in the show for many years. Nancy Cawdrey is a wonderful artist who paints on silk with great vibrant colors. Her husband Steve and son Morgan are now the directors for the show. What better people, than those familiar with the art world to run an art show and sale. I am positive the show is going to continue to grow as the one of the premier Western Art shows in the country.
Some images of our room.
We are looking forward to next year, and another great show.
Your room looks beautiful! Seems like a lot of fun (and work!) traveling around like that. Hope to do that one day!
Your room does look beautiful! I’ve been having trouble leaving a comment. I still can’t on today’s wordless wednesday post.
