Sonic egg bark control device Giveaway
Dogs bark, it’s what we do. Is that being mischievous? Personally, I don’t think so. We bark at strange people, that’s called being a guard dog. We bark at other dogs, are you in my territory? We bark at all kinds of random stuff. Do people like and appreciate this……um, not so much. When we were at Blogpaws, mom was given a Sonic egg from the awesome people at Petsmart. Actually she was given 2 of them, and since we are apparently keeping one, the other is going to be a giveaway. From the dogs point of view, this thing is irritating. But I think that’s the whole point. When we bark, Torrey and I hear this really high pitched sound. Mom and dad don’t seem to hear it, but we really do. Torrey hears it more than me I think, because she reacts a little different. I will tell you though, it makes us both stop barking.
Hear is the official word from the people at Sunbeam who make the Sonic Egg

Wally loves to bark at the squirrels on the other side of our chainlink fence. I’ve always wondered if these devices work!
Seriously I need one. Sounds great. I know a lot of pet owners who need one. One friend went so far as to have her dogs barker surgically removed
Hey Guys,
No way do I want to win one of these, I love to bark!! Tee Hee
Well, actually we have one of these too from Blogpaws, not sure if Mum’s gonna be using it for me? So we’ll sit out on this one…..
Ooooh, I wonder where you’re going? You’re so lucky to have so many adventures guys
Have fun,
Your pal Snoopy

I have a lab that barks every time she gets off the back porch. We tried the bark collar but it was too mean. We really need to try this. How much are they?
Man, is it Monday again already?? This not working thing (or at least not on a set schedule) is messing with my head. Ha, ha.
We tried an “as seen on TV” sonic product like this and it didn’t work. I would be curious if this one works better. Chester has gotten to be a real barker and it is super loud because we have wood floors.

It takes longer than just an aversive device, and Elka isn’t really a nuisance barker anyway, but I’ve preferred to redirect her when she’s inclined to bark. Letting us know somebody is outside is part of the point, after all! We just need to work on the parameters of what part of outside matters.

Wow! This does sound like a great idea, but neither Fred nor Gloria are barkers.

Woof! Woof! Interesting product. We live in the country n got a neighbor’s dog that barks all the time especially when I’m chilling outside … not sure this will work (50 yards). Happy MM! Lots of Golden ALOHA n Woofs, Sugar

My dear sweet Sugar barks and barks and barks.
I don’t mind the “im talking to you mommy ” play barking or the ” mommy there’s someone at the door”
barking, it’s the motorcycle, lawn mower, tractor, loud car or truck passing by barking along with the thunderstorm barking that is bothersome.
I have tried just about everything with no results. This is the first time i have ever seen or heard of the Sunbeam Sonic Egg. I would love to win of course. But, if I do not win I will be trying to find one in the store. I really really want one. Yesterday we had a thunderstorm that lasted hours. Loud!!!! Long!!! Thunder rolls. Thunder rolls that lasted over 30 seconds each. I had never heard a thunderstorm like this one. Never ever ever. Poor Sugar was beside herself. She would no sooner stop barking the here would come another clap. She not only barks she paces. I wound up holding cuddling and gently talking to her most of the afternoon into the evening. We were both exhausted by the time the storm left the area. I hope the sonic egg will help.
Thank you for sharing the information. I appreciate it so much.
Oh I am curious whether this really works. Storm is a barker. She thinks she is alerting, and I am sure she is, but to her everything requires an alert…lol. And yes, I do believe part of it is causing mischief.

Hi Roxy! Thanks for visiting my bloggie and commenting today! My parents would probably love one of those barking eggs! They think I bark to much when I am outside………yeah, right!!!!

Actually Daisy’s barking isn’t bad, so we’re not entering this giveaway. (If you find a cats-be-gone product, let us know – our neighbor’s cats are killing all of our plants!) But we just wanted to stop by and say “hi”!

Unfortunately, we could use this device around home!
Hi Y’all!
Oh, my Human got a “stop bark” device…it didn’t slow down my excited barking when foods gettin’ fixed or the collar comes out! When someone rings the doorbell or knocks I have a serious bark and charge the door ’til the Human arrives and makes me SIT!
Y’all come back now,

Hi Roxy,
We grabbed a sonic egg from the folks at PetSmart too, but we haven’t tried it yet. Linus likes to bark at the front door when he hears the door bell so we’re thinking it might be a good device for him, but I’m sure Linus will not be pleased.
Happy Monday!

Yes, my dog Ella is an extreme barker! She is a Terrier/Chihuahua mix and she thinks every sound or movement from anything needs to be barked at : ( I would love to try this!
This is a great idea. We have a little yapper and we would love a nice way to remind him to not bark so much.
So I would wonder since the package says “for your neighbors dog also” who of you would knowingly use this product if you ‘knew that it would cause an epileptic puppy to have more seizures. This is not because of barking only, but the ultrasonic ‘egg’ emits this high pitched sound that only dogs can hear when birds chirp, when squirrels chatter, when thunder claps, when you make a loud noise. So this neighbor is knowingly leaving this ultrasonic ‘thing’ on as she goes on holidays and the poor pup has increased his seizures ten fold all outside. Again, moral question, would you knowingly continue to use the product? or at least request further information?
