I agreed to do the review because I could see the advantages of the design features they included in the leash.
One of the things that really appealed to me is the fact that the length is adjustable, and I don’t mean adjustable by wrapping the leash around your hand either. There is a metal slide that is super easy to use to shorten or lengthen the leash, while the dog is attached to the other end. This is a real plus while walking Roxy, sometimes I like her closer to me, sometimes she can have more leash.
The other great feature is the handle has a buckle that will undo so you can easily attach the dog to a park bench while you rest a minute, or a tree, just about anything.
All the hardware on the leash is high quality metal, and so very unlikely to break or bend. The leash at first seemed a little heavy because of this, but it quickly became unnoticeable.
The other built in feature is the ability to easily wrap the leash around your waist, or cross body over your shoulder, and attach it to itself by a small loop on the end of the handle. Then you can play with your dog off leash, without figuring out what to do with it.
Konalu currently has a campaign running on indiegogo to assist them in funding to launch their product. I love these programs. They are a great and creative way for people to get funding for various projects, and the supporters get something awesome in exchange. If you chose to be a backer of their campaign, you will receive a leash in the color of your choice, four great colors to chose from.
I think they have a great idea, kind of reinventing the leash.
Be sure to visit their website http://www.konalu.com/
Or the indiegogo campaign page at http://www.indiegogo.com/konalu?c=home and learn more about this great new idea.

Great review and I did see them on indigogo and thought they looked great. Glad to hear from someone who actually tried it out. The best part I like about them are the colours.

Sounds like a great idea. Thanks for the review Mary. I will look into getting two of these for my doggies. One is so well behaved on the walks we take the other one……..ugh! like galloping a horse! thats why we use a harness still on her
Sounds like this was invented by someone who actually walks dogs. I can see shortening the leash when walking at a crowded setting. And I love the easy way to tie a leash off to a chair leg. We usually do it by wrapping the leash around the leg and putting one end through the handle before reconnecting it.
Awkward to say the least.
Will definitely go check out their site. Thanks for the great review.

Very nice! The handle detachment looks like a great feature to use to attach my dogs to the bike rack for a moment while I get my morning coffee at the convenience store.

That is definitely one good review of a great product. Any dog owner would surely want to get their hands on those. I love the versatility of that leash. I would have to say that it is very well-thought and engineered and made with high-quality materials. I even love the color. Hope it comes in a wide variety of colors and designs though.
